"This is what I was looking for all season long," said head coach Sarah Manuel. "We definitely had some ups and downs throughout the season. I was proud of how our kids banded together and worked hard not just for themselves, but for State Fair Community College. I was very proud of that as a coach. Zoey Wilson had a PR. Zoey started off the season never shooting a gun before. This weekend she had a trap score of 90 out of 100. Ava Chevalier took High Overall Champion throughout the entire tournament which consisted of three shoots throughout the year, with one of them having to be this one in Texas and either of the other two in Arkansas. They count the two best scores. Mitchell O'Reilly took third place High Overall for the championship in the male division, Mason Rohan took second, and David Thomlinson took first. We also took the High Overall team award for the championship."
Thomlinson earned high overall male, first place in skeet, first place in trap, and second in sporting clays. Chevalier earned third place in the high female overall, first in trap, and second in sporting clays. Rohan earned high overall male second place, second in trap, second in skeet, and third in sporting clays. Crocker earned first in skeet.
"I was also very excited to see our freshman class step up throughout the weekend," said Manuel. "I believe that will set our team up well for next year and I think my returners will be able to lead the team."
