McWilliams leads Lady Roadrunners at Dewey Allgood Invitational
The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners track and field team brought home eight top eight finishes from the Dewey Allgood Invitational hosted by the Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Mo. on Saturday, April 18.
Rolla Mo.-The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners track and field team brought home eight top eight finishes from the Dewey Allgood Invitational hosted by the Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Mo. on Saturday, April 18.
Freshman Callie McWilliams of Shelbina, Mo. was victorious in the triple jump with a jump of 11.65 meters.
Freshman Kamaree Pollard of Mount Vernon, Ill. finished third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.16. Pollard followed that up with a fourth-place finish in the triple jump with a jump of 11.22 meters.
The Lady Roadrunners 4 x 100m relay team finished third in a time of 48.99.
Freshman Libbey Baadsgaard of Springfield, Mo. finished fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 14:55.32.
Sophomore Jocelyn Nunez of Independence, Mo. finished fourth in the long jump with a jump of 5.47 meters.
Sophomore Izzy Sabala of Hermitage, Mo. finished fifth in the javelin with a throw of 34.29 meters.
Freshman Avri Fox of Warrensburg, Mo. finished sixth in the shot put with a throw of 10.91 meters.
"Kamaree Pollard took third in the 100m dash," said assistant coach Kellin Loch. "Libbey Baadsgaard took fourth in the Steeple Chase. The women's 4x100m dash placed third. Jocelyn Nunes placed fourth in the Long Jump, and Callie McWilliams placed first in the Triple Jump. The team showed up and contended well, once again, holding their own amongst some strong competition."
SFCC will return to competition at the Rock Chalk Classic on Friday, May 1.
